Bonita Renai Farmer '82

She departed this earthly life June 29, 2012 in Tallahassee, FL. Bonita is a 1982 graduate of Dayton Christian Schools and later from Wright State University. Renai resided in Florida for 18 years. She was employed by the State of Florida in the Florida Senate as a Staff Director in the Senate Minority Office and the Senate Families and Elder Affairs Committee. Preceding her in death was her father Rev. Aaron Farmer Jr., maternal grandparents Abel and Selma J. Horne, paternal grandparents Rev. Aaron Sr. and Dora Farmer. Leaving to cherish her memories are mother, Annie Earlene Farmer, West Chester, OH; sister, Aarionne Lynn Farmer, Mason, OH; fiancé, George Bowen, Tallahassee, FL; five aunts, two uncles. A host of loving relatives and friends. Interment we be at Woodland Cemetery.

Shelley Wilson '86

Shelley Christine Wilson, 43, of Fairmont passed away Thursday, April 26, 2012 at her home.  She was born in Port Huron, Michigan on September 24, 1968, the daughter of Roger and Sally (Snyder) Wilson of Fairmont.  Shelley graduated from Dayton Christian High School in Dayton, Ohio in 1986. She enjoyed playing the flute and singing in musicals while in high school. She attended Galilean Baptist Church and sang in the choir and played flute there as well.In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, Bradley Wilson of Englewood, Ohio and her grandmother, Phyllis Wilson of Silverwood, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Christine Snyder and grandfathers, Leslie Snyder and Horace Dean Wilson.  Family and friends may call at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St. Fairmont on Sunday from 5-9 pm and Monday from 10-11 am. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, April 30, 2012 at 11 am with Pastor Jonathon Stitzel officiating.  Interment will follow at a later date at Styles Cemetery in Lapeer, Michigan.  Online condolences may be left at www.carpenterandford.com .

Michael "Joe" Zimmerman '86

Joe Zimmerman, Dayton Christian class of 1986, passed away on Tuesday, January 10th, 2012 at the age of 44.  Their will be a memorial on Saturday, January 14th from 10am - 12pm at the Schlientz and Moore funeral home in Centerville, Ohio.  It is located at the corner of State Route 725 and Paragon Road.  A funeral at the VA is expected to be scheduled on Tuesday, due to MLK holiday.
